Get excited! Your new favorite, wear-all-day pair of jeans awaits.
Leggings and sweatpants may reign supreme when it comes to comfort, but that doesn’t mean jeans can’t be, too — especially when they’re well-worn and have molded to your body over time.
Most people may expect the comfiest jeans to be made with a stretchy combo of cotton and materials like lycra, spandex, and elastane — which isn’t wrong, per se, but isn’t the full story either. Because here’s the thing: stretch jeans, in the long run, will actually stretch less than 100% cotton jeans because the fibers can expand AND retract versus just expand.
All this means is that 100% cotton jeans can be comfy too! You just have to choose wisely.
These are our seventeen favorite pairs that run the gamut from stretchy to sturdier, high-rise to mid-rise, skinny to bootcut.
We may be biased, but we’re pretty sure there’s nothing better than a pull-on waistband. But what TRULY takes these jeans to the next level is the fact that they’re made with a machine-washable, stretch-friendly, high-quality trifecta of cotton, polyester, and spandex.
With an ultra high-rise and bleached wash, these Zuri jeans — available at Nordstrom — up the 90s ante big time. The best part? They get even better with wear.
“Ab” solution technology helps mold and shape your beautiful curves. That, combined with the elastic waistband, makes these black jeans one of our favorites. Leggings, watch out.
Flare jeans are the ultimate throwback. This cut — which widens starting at the knee and flares outward just above the ankle — was initially popular in the 1960s during the hippie era and is now back with a vengeance. Think of it as the opposite of a skinny jean, with flare that can vary from subtle to exaggerated.
This pair from Mango is made with elastic denim-style cotton with a flared and frayed bottom for a laid-back touch.
When it comes to supportive stretch denim, it doesn’t get much better than these rugged camo skinnies. They’re made with a comfort waistband and ultra-soft fabric, so if you never wanted to take them off, well, we’d understand.
Perfectly positioned rips coupled with frayed cuffs make for the perfect laid-back look. They’re made with a machine washable cotton-spandex duo for the ideal amount of give ‘n stretch.
These SUPER high-rise women’s jeans (28”) have both front and side rips — whiskering included — for a baggy (in the best way) look that’ll keep you feeling simultaneously comfy and stylish.
If you combine the sleek look of jeans with the pull-on, stretch comfort of leggings, this is what you get. Mind you, these aren’t jeggings per se, but they do have a pull-on style with a high-rise tummy-toner design that we L.O.V.E. In addition to the two faux front pockets, you’ve got two (real!) back pockets as well.
Made with 100% organic cotton (which, BTW, is grown using less water and zero pesticides), this pair of mom jeans from Bershka sits up high on the hips and cuts off just around the ankles. Although a looser cut, it fits normally around the waist.
Classic denim-meets-comfort leggings for a win-win in the wardrobe department: jeggings! These have a super skinny fit (we’re talkin’ spray-on look) and identical rips along the knees.
These sleek, slim fit, high-waist skinny jeans are made of a sustainably sourced (and durable!) cotton blend. The gold hardware in the front *perfectly* compliments the cream color. If you look closely, you’ll notice slits down at the ankle, which add an extra dose of comfort where other jeans may feel constricting.
Made with a stretch blend of cotton, rayon, polyester, and spandex, these high-rise black jeans from Dollhouse will beautifully hug your curves. Front pockets are decorative, back are patch.
Levi’s crafts these curvy, high-rise jeans with a unique sculpting blend of Lycra cotton and hyper-stretch material.
You know that worn-in look that can only come from a pair of old jeans? That’s what you’ll get here (in the best way) thanks to the small, threaded rips along the knee. These tend to run small, so we recommend ordering one size up.
Talk about a throwback. This vintage-inspired pair — which channels the 90s with its heavyweight denim, extra high rise, and laid-back comfy feel — also happens to be one of our favorite butt-lifting jeans.
Looking to spice up your wardrobe with a pair of jeans that’s not the classic denim color? Look no further than these boyfriend jeans, which come in deep green or pink — both of which are still incredibly versatile and able to pair with all the sweaters, T-shirts, crop tops, and button-downs you desire.
Slim fit jeans are just a tad less tight than skinny jeans. Think of it this way: They won’t feel like a second skin hugging your body, but they’ll still be form-fitting around your legs and hips (except for a narrow ankle opening). It’s a small difference, we know. But still worth mentioning! Fun fact: slim fit jeans are *essentially* the same thing as bootcut, which earned its name when cowboys (circa 1850ish) needed pants that’d allow them to ride horses with enough calf space to fit their boots.
Cropped jeans more your thing? We’ve got you covered.
