Musings on the one piece of clothing she can’t live without (hint: it can take her from a long run to a Brooklyn bar).
When Imani Ribadeneyra isn’t working on social strategy for Revelle, she’s probably running (to date, she’s run marathons in NYC, DC, and LA), wandering Brooklyn with her dog Gemma, or traveling the world to catch premier league soccer games.
Below, she gives us a glimpse into her closet, which skews heavy on the comfort.
Who’s your style icon?
Anine Bing (timeless style but with an edge) or Amy Smilovic (founder and creative director at Tibi). They are constantly keeping things chic and simple, yet interesting. Although I can’t afford to buy Tibi all the time, I definitely aspire to emulate Smilovic’s Creative Pragmatist style vibes.
One piece of clothing you can’t live without?
My running shoes. Sorry that’s lame, but running shoes = sanity. Plus, a good pair of Hokas can take you from a long run straight to a bar in Brooklyn if you do it right.
Overrated and underrated fashion trend….GO
Air Force Ones are overrated. Baggy, low-rise denim in the summer is underrated.
What’s one out-of-fashion trend or style that you desperately hope will come back?
UGGS! Maybe they’re back? TBD. I love mine, I don’t care what anyone says.
What’s one fleeting fashion trend from childhood that you *regret* embracing? (no judgment)
Dress shirts on top of jeans. Like…what was that?
What is it about Revelle that energizes you when you get out of bed in the morning?
I think Revelle has the potential to really change the way women online shop. I actively avoid online shopping because I hate the return process and think this can be soooo much better with a little bit of personalization, smart technology, and transparency.
