As the country begins slowly, safely opening back up and summer creeps closer, some of us may be itching to get away for a bit — whether it’s to visit extended family we haven’t seen in over a year or simply to enjoy well-deserved time away from Zoom. Whatever the case, travel (in some way, shape, or form), may happen this summer…which has us thinking about what jeans to pack.
Below, we’ve rounded up our top picks that check all the necessary boxes:
- A good amount of stretch
Because c’mon, this is vacation. You better believe we’re eating allllllll the food and drinking allllllll the drinks. The last thing we want is to feel constricted in our denim jeans. - Pockets
Not the fake kind that look like pockets but actually aren’t. We’re talkin’ real-deal, deep pockets to hold all the STUFF we inevitably end up with after a day out and about (receipts, change for the meter, ticket stubs…you get the point). Bonus points for zipper pockets. - The ability to dry quickly
There’s no way we’re sitting around in damp jeans after getting caught in the rain. No, thank you. Jeans with a bit of spandex, nylon, or polyester will help in the moisture-wicking department. - Versatility when it comes to shoes and tops
There’s only so much room in our suitcase, which means mixing and matching is the way to go. Think neutral colors and light on the patterns.
